Dr Andrew See
BDS Hons (Syd), PGDip Dental Implantology(CSU), MSc(Lond), MFGDP(UK)
Dr Andrew See has over 10 years of experience in the dental profession. Dr See graduated with honours from the University of Sydney in 2003. In his graduating year he received the prize for Prosthetic Dentistry. In the years following Dr See has enjoyed working in full-time private practice with leading dentist and specialist and has also devoted time being a clinical tutor at the University of Sydney.
Dr See enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, particularly focusing firstly on attaining and maintaining excellent oral health and secondly creating optimal aesthetics. His interests include general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry and dental implants.
Dr See is passionate about cosmetic dentistry and facial aesthetics and is one of the only few in Australia that has completed a Masters Degree with Distinction in Aesthetic Dentistry through the prestigious King’s College London. Completing this intensive program gives Dr See the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high quality functional dental restorations with optimal aesthetic value. The dental institute at King’s College London ranks number 1 in the UK and number 4 in the world for Dentistry. In 2016 he was awarded Membership into the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners through the Royal College of Surgeons of England (MFGDP), which is the only body in the UK for general dental practitioners that focuses on high quality patient care.
Aesthetics of a smile is greatly influenced by the whole face. Dr See has been trained by the Australasian Academy of Dento-Facial Aesthetics (AAFDA), which allows him to provide cosmetic facial techniques to help enhance the appearance of a smile.
To further his skills in implant dentistry Dr See in 2011 completed his Postgraduate Diploma in Dental Implantology at the Charles Sturt University. He has completed numerous implant continuing education programs including the surgical program at the Brener Implant Institute. To enhanced his knowledge and skill above and beyond Dr See completed his Primary Examinations for The Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (FRACDS) achieving numerous commendations for outstanding performance.
Dr See approaches all his work with consideration of his patient’s best interest. He has a gentle and understanding nature and as a result his patients are comfortable and at ease during their visits. This includes children and anxious patients.
Apart from dentistry, Dr See enjoys staying fit, cooking, photography and teaching his dog new tricks.
Dr Michael Hornby
BDS (Syd), GradDipClinDent (Sedation)(Syd), Grad Cert Anat Diss (Syd)
Dr Michael Hornby is our surgical dentist. He graduated from the University of Sydney in 2002 and spent three years on the south coast of NSW as a general dentist.
Dr Hornby then came back to Sydney and worked at The Sydney Dental Hospital for seven years performing minor oral surgery where he became passionate about oral surgery. There he gained valuable experience in treating people from all walks of life with varying oral surgical issues.
Michael has taught for the Faculty of Dentistry at Sydney University, and for the School of Rural Medicine at the University of New England. Dr Hornby now consults to a number of dental practices in Sydney where he focuses in wisdom tooth extractions.
In his spare time, Michael enjoys cycling and spending time with the kids.
Dr Yvonne Chow
BDS Hons(Syd), GradDipClinDent (Sedation)(Syd), FRACDS
Dr Yvonne Chow is our consulting sedationist. She graduated with honours in 1999 from The University of Sydney and has been practicing is Sydney since. In 2003, Dr Chow attained her Fellowship by examination with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons.
Dr Chow is especially passionate about looking after anxious patients and in 2005 pursued this passion to complete her Graduate Diploma in Conscious Sedation and Pain Control. Her interests in the field of dentistry include oral surgery, paediatric dentistry and special care dentistry.
On weekends, Yvonne is a Sunday School teacher to a group of 3-4 years old children. She loves being able to put her art skills to use in preparing her lessons.
We are pleased to introduce our wonderful dental hygienist, Jessica. She is friendly, approachable and will make you feel comfortable as soon as you meet her. Jessica obtained her associate degree from Curtin University in 2005 and since then has been dedicated to oral health and preventative dentistry.
Jessica brings with her over 15 years in the dental industry including 10 years in a multi-disciplinary practice in Sweden where she became highly experienced in periodontal care, dental hygiene and implant maintenance. Jessica works closely with Dr See and prides herself on her attention to detail whilst being gentle.
Jessica loves her profession because it gives her daily contacts with new and interesting people that she can make a positive difference to their health and wellbeing. At your appointment with Jessica she will explain how you can improve and maintain good oral hygiene at home as this is the foundation to your oral health.
On weekends Jessica loves spending time with her two kids and enjoying good food and wine.
We are so lucky to have Lucy on our team. She has left the corporate world and joined our team at See The Dentist. Lucy has 10 years of experience in corporate and administration roles, which has given her attributes that are well suited to be our practice manager.
Lucy is part of a close family and has a generous nature that becomes apparent in her interactions with others. Her modesty, vibrant personality and her desire to help others allows patients to always feel at ease.
In her spare time Lucy enjoys doing yoga, cycling and recycling anything that wants to be recycled.
Meet our great all rounder Maddison. Her calm and charming manner makes her a delight to have as part of our team. You will be able to see her greeting you as you arrive or as the chairside assistant in the treatment room. Maddison hopes to be a dental hygienist one day as she loves dentistry and always wants to help people.
On weekends Maddison loves being around the water, be it the beach or on a boat and taking her dog for a walk.
Always with a smile on her face, you will see Angela welcoming you in reception and assisting in the treatment rooms. She has completed a Bachelors Degree in Science and is passionate about oral health.
When she has time off she loves watching zombie movies, playing netball and bush walking.
